Kickoff Match:
Rob Van Dam def. Cesaro(7:58)
Thoughts: This is basically WWE putting two guys in a match since they have no idea WTF to do with either of them, especially Cesaro, who went from being in the main event at MITB to now being in the kickoff/pre-show match at the 2nd biggest PPV of the year. The match wasn't bad, just nothing to write home about, but what do you expect from a pre-show match. If this was on the PPV, we would've seen a much better match than we did and perhaps with Cesaro going over instead of RVD. Nothing against RVD, but why he went over here, I will never understand.

WWE Intercontinental Championship
Dolph Ziggler def. The Miz(c)(7:44)
Thoughts: I, like a lot of people, didn't give Dolph much hope in winning here, seeing as how Miz had just won it the previous month. Given how they have been pushing Miz's new gimmick, you would assume that he be in for a long title reign. But you would be wrong as Ziggler pulled off the win, regaining the Intercontinental Championship. My only hope is that WWE starts pushing Ziggler again as that whole thing about him getting de-pushed because of his previous concussions is just bullshit. Anyway, solid match with Ziggler being one of a few people to kick out of Miz's skull-crushing finale and a good way to kick off Summerslam

WWE Divas Championship
Paige def. AJ Lee(c)(4:57)
Thoughts: These are arguably the two best divas on the main roster and WWE just doesn't seem to want to give them enough time to produce one amazing match. Don't get me wrong, what they're producing in the time they're given is good, but they can produce better if given more time. Anyway, Paige winning here is kinda surprising, at least to me, but I think that we all will agree that when Paige hit that DDT that all but killed AJ, it was over. It was shorter than expected, but they worked with a purpose and I liked what they did. I keep waiting for them to have a great match, and this wasn't bad at all, but I think that they have a much better match in them. They certainly did the best that they could do with the short time given to them. Now on the off chance that someone at WWE reads this, I ask you one thing: give these two more time!
Ruzev def. Jack Swagger(8:56)
Thoughts: First off, this WASN'T a flag match. Now that we got that out of the way, let's move on. Swagger goes for the ankle right off the bat and, to his credit, Ruzev sold it rather well. Also, Swagger still sold his injuries to his ribs, despite not having the tape on them. Swagger gets the Patriot Lock in, but Ruzev gets out of it and put in the accolade. Swagger fought, but passed out, giving Ruzev the win and letting Swagger go out like a "Hero". Overall, a very good, well worked match. Some good selling and good energy from the crowd.

Lumberjack Match
Seth Rollins def. Dean Ambrose(10:38)
Thoughts: I have to question why they decided to go with a Lumberjack match for such a big match. They try to make up for it by explaining that the lumberjacks are victims of both men from their Shield days, so that technically they should hate both guys, but we still could gotten something better(and we did the following night). Despite the Lumberjacks, these two fought all over the arena, which lead to the lumberjacks brawling. With a little assistance from Kane, Rollins uses the MITB Briefcase to pick up the win. I usually don't really enjoy lumberjack matches, but damn, this was great. Credit to those guys for making a stipulation I hate work and providing a match I really enjoyed.

Bray Wyatt def. Chris Jericho(12:46)
Thoughts: I not sure what it is, but these two just don't seem to have good chemistry. Don't get me wrong, their matches have been fine, but the crowd just isn’t buying into
their feud and they don’t do anything that makes it seem like this feud
is important or meaningful to either guy. Even though Wyatt got the win here and would get the win in their Cage Match a few weeks later on Raw, I think that this has cooled off Wyatt’s
momentum big time and it’s time for both to just move on.

Stephanie McMahon def. Brie Bella(9:11)
Thoughts: Here's the shocker of the night. You would think that this would be a really, really bad match. But surprise, it was actually a pretty solid match, despite Steph not wrestling since October 2003 and Brie not being that great a worker. The heat was there for the match and it told a good story of Brie overcoming the bully in Steph, but got betrayed by her own flesh and blood, even though we all knew it was coming. Personally, I think Brie should've gotten the win here and the next night they do the Nikki turn as Brie would have gotten her big win and then they could have added another layer to the feud after. As it stands, this feud only served to help Stephanie instead of making a bigger star out of Brie.
Rating: **3/4
Roman Reigns def. Randy Orton(16:26)
Thoughts: The early portion of the match was very dull and pedestrian with Orton resorting to rest holds and a more methodical pace. Reigns needed a great match with Orton on a major PPV to help his push and the early portion of the match concerned me. However, they kicked it into gear and the final stretch was great and the crowd was rocking for Reigns when he won. So it turned out well in the end and despite the injury he suffered in mid-September, the push of Reigns is, at least still on the right path for now.

Main Event:
WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Brock Lesnar def. John Cena(c)(15:49)
Thoughts: This was a basically a drawn out squash, so as a match it clearly didn’t live up to the war we expected. However, the decision to have Lesnar just obliterate Cena was genius and it finally put him over as the unstoppable monster he should have been upon his return two years ago. Now WWE needs to keep this up with Brock and make him look as unbeatable as possible so Roman Reigns can topple him and become the guy as a result.
